What kind of packaging should I go for?

Choosing the right packaging for your product can be a bit of a challenge, but we've got you covered with our guide to the best packaging practices. Here are some must-do's to make sure your shipment is prepared for a smooth transaction.

First and foremost, make sure your box is in good shape. A sturdy box or high-quality mailer will keep your items secure and protected. And don't forget to seal it up properly!

When printing out your labels, make sure they're 4 x 6” - that's the only size the carrier recommends. If you're using a regular printer, double-check for ink levels and that the barcode is legible.

To keep your items in mint condition, use internal cushions like bubble wrap, Styrofoam molds, or even paper shreds. If you're using poly bags, place the label on the front and center for easy scanning. Same goes for kraft mailers - place the label properly and keep the barcode free of tape.

Finally, make sure the label is placed on the box's largest and flattest area. This will ensure your packages are processed quickly and without delays.

For extra assurance, you can add ShipShop Protection for coverage in case of damage or loss. There you have it - follow these tips and you'll be on your way to a successful shipment!
